I found some exciting news about JoAnn Fabric’s. As a small business and crafter, I thought I’d pass along the news. Everyone’s favorite craft store, JoAnn Fabrics, is offering a free new VIP card that’ll get you 10% off every purchase. I spent too much there as it is so I might as well get 10% off every order, can I get an “Amen”?
The details:
- 10% off every purchase, including sale items
- Eligible if: a reseller, member of sewing or crafting guild, or a non-profit
- Must show tax exempt license or proof of 501(c)3 status
- Sign up at joann.com/vip. It’ll take 3-5 weeks for your card to arrive
So simple, right? If you qualify for JoAnn’s new VIP card, sign up and start saving 10% off your purchases. You never know, those dimes might add up after a while. Happy crafting!
UPDATE 9/15: My JoAnn Fabric VIP card arrived in the mail today. Time for a yarn run.

I am having problems getting to the VIP renew area of your web site. Once I hit enroll it does nothing. How can I renew my card? Thanks
I volunteer for Project Linus.
Claire Glidden, Sacramento coordinator has given this website to obtain 10% discount cards.
I sew banners for my church (Christ the King Lutheran Church, Redlands, CA) and would appreciate getting a 10% discount on the fabrics for them. I make one or two new ones a year and materials for one banner usually cost around $50. I have purchased my supplies from a JoAnn store in Redlands for at least 15 years now. We now have a beautiful, relatively new JoAnn store in our community that carries everything I have needed for the banners.
How do I get the VIP card? I juse JoAnn a lot and it would come in handy.
I make chemo caps for the cancer patients at Providence St. Peter’s hospital in Olympia WA.
I have been makinng them for over two years out of the Fun Fur yarn. I take a dozen at a time to the patients, four times a year.
I also make lap blankets or shawls out of Red Heart yarn for the Mother Joseph nursing home.
I take a dozen at least twice a year, sometimes more.
A 10% discount would be much appreciated as it would defray the cost of some of the yarn which I use to make the caps and blankets.
All you have to do is go onto JoAnn’s website here: http://joann.com/vip, check the box for the VIP Discount, click “Enroll” now and you’ll get your discount card in a few weeks.

I belong to the Ameican Legion Auxiliary In Lebanon NH and we buy material and filling to make neck pillows for the VA Hospital in White River Jct. Vt. The discount card would be handy for purchasing items such as that.
I buy all my craft things at Joann. I don’t belong to a group or association. Can i still get this? Thank You. (vip card)
Hi Mary, I’m not sure if you’re still eligible for the VIP Card, but you should contact JoAnn Fabric directly for more information about their policies. http://joann.com/vip Good luck & happy crocheting!
I’m also a volunteer crafter for two churches who sell the products I make. Marie, did you have to provide proof of working for a non-profit to get your VIP card?

Hi Arlene, I think you might have to contact Jo-Ann to renew your VIP card, but I’m sure it’s totally possible. I didn’t even know they expired, but certainly a good thing to look into!
